![]() So in effect, even in good champion runs, you are running around discarding gold in a tough dungeon, when you could do the 3-4 version f the dungeon for a similar amount of gold, with less risk. In fact, if doing dark mid runs, you will come out of them with more trinkets than you would from champ runs at high light, with much less risk. This is because the main source of gold from dungeons is not the end rewards, but rather, what you find in the dungeon, and being it the case that you get no more inventory slots for high level dungeons than you do for low level ones, in effect you will make it out of both mid and high level dungeons with the same amount of gold. Other than the bosses, there is no good reason to ever do Champion dungeons as you effectively get just as much gold from 3-4 ones. But the reward they offer is not compelling either. ![]() And even then, their survival rate is rather low, one bad fight and everyone is afflicted, or worse. This is, Champion dungeons are tough enough that I won't brave them without fully upgraded characters. The main culprit in my opinion is not the deeds you need, or the gold, though those are big reasons as of why I have a wall of level 5's that are effectively useless: the champion dungeons are too tough, and the reward/risk equation is completely broken. Reducing the exp to get to level 5 just makes your heroes useless a ton faster, cuts the time you have to do the actually fun content in the game (Levels 3 and 4 dungeons), and doesn't alleviate any of the balance problems in the game. I think Red Hook got the XP nerf to level as wrong as it is possibly to get something. You can find mods for the game on Steam Workshop and .Īn overview of the game's patch notes can be found here.
